WELCOMEScripture contains a fascinating prophecy of the work to be accomplished by the final generation: "They that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in" (Isaiah 58:12). Today, this prophecy is being fulfilled. Truths long forgotten are being revealed, proving that Saturday is not the true Sabbath of the Bible, nor Sunday the true day of Christ's resurrection. Theologians and scholars disagree over the origin of the modern week. Most theologians claim the seven-day week has cycled continuously since Creation, with the lunar calendar being used only for calculating the Israelites' annual feast dates. Scholars, however, maintain that continuously cycling weeks are a relatively recent innovation within calendrical practices because all ancient societies used lunar calendation in which the weekly cycle started over at each new moon. The truth is revealed when lunar calendation principles are compared with historical and astronomical facts. Scripture reveals that the seventh-day Sabbath always fell on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days of the lunar month. Archeology has supplied remnants of early Julian calendars from the time of Christ. These calendars show the late emergence of a continuously cycling eight-day week. The rise in popularity of the Persian cult of Mithras within pagan Rome led to the eventual adoption of a seven-day week which started on dies Saturni (Saturn’s day or Saturday.) Not until the Council of Nicæa in the fourth century CE was the modern seven-day week standardized, beginning on Sunday. Writings of Roman historians and early Christians confirm that while many Christians in Rome readily accepted pagan (Julian) calendation for worship purposes, other Christians and the Jews continued to calculate their Sabbaths, new moons and annual festivals by the original luni-solar calendar. Some Christian sepulchral inscriptions include both lunar and Julian dates. Jewish scholars and historians date the Jewish change of calendar to the intense persecution following the Council of Nicæa when the Romans prohibited luni-solar calculation. The United States Naval Observatory provides extremely accurate calculations for astronomical new moons and full moons between 25 BCE and 38 CE. The Julian dates assigned these primary phases of the moon prove that the lunar months do not align with the Julian months. Furthermore, modern use of Julian calendation to find BCE dates applies them to the modern seven-day week, which was not in use at that time! When lunar calendation principles, established by scripture and archeological records are compared with the facts of history and the lunar calculations of the United States Naval Observatory, the assumption that the modern seven-day week has cycled continuously since Creation is proven false. Neither the original seventh-day Sabbath nor the true First Day of Christ's resurrection can be found using the modern calendar. If it is important to worship on a specific day, than it is also important to know which calendar to use. The day on which one worships reveals which God/god one is worshipping: Yahuwah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, or Lucifer, the arch-rebel and god of this world. Each God/god has His/his own calendar by which to be worshipped. The day on which one worships is the pledge of allegiance to the God/god who claims the worship of that day on His/his own calendar. It is hoped that the material on this website will be of benefit to the student of scripture who wants to know Truth.
